Anagata Type is a type foundry dedicated to enhancing the quality of typography in Cambodia. We focus on creating retail fonts that are accessible to designers, business owners, and brands, aiming to elevate visual communication and design standards.

Founded by Sovichet Tep, who transitioned from his role as a full-stack developer in early 2019, Anagata Type began its journey as Romnea Type. Later that year, Sovichet teamed up with Angkearith Mao and Bou Both to start Anagata Design, leading to the rebranding of Romnea Type to Anagata Type. This collaboration allowed us to broaden our focus and collaborate with various designers to produce exceptional fonts.

Our initial retail font families, Krasar and Niradei, have become popular choices among designers, agencies, and publishers. These typefaces are widely used in the branding of notable local businesses and organizations, including Chip Mong Bank, ACLEDA Bank, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC), the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), BBC Media Cambodia, Forte Insurance, and Plerng Kob.
